AEGEE Mark 15th Anniversary

AEGEE-Valletta recently commemorated its 15th Anniversary. The Executive Board along with friends and members of AEGEE gathered up for a reception at Cellini Wine bar and Bistro to look back on the past 15 years.

AEGEE is an independent interdisciplinary student organization aimed at increasing youth participation at a European level. It promotes EU citizenship through dialogue and cultural exchanges.

The organization’s members had good reason to celebrate as AEGEE- Valletta recently also won the BEST Travelling Summer University of 2012; a major annual cultural event organised by several satellites across Europe with some sixty competing institutions.

AEGEE is also planning to hold a Europe-wide conference in Malta in March 2013.

Whilst outlining the challenges ahead, current President, Mr Chris Frendo told insiteronline “In order for the organization to continue on its remarkable path, AEGEE-Valletta must continue to promote values such as tolerance, friendship and efficiency which are key for every organization to survive through thick and thin.”
