KSU Launches Mobile Application, Shower Facilities and Prayer Room
Students’ house’s common room took a break from students’ fest rehearsals this week to host the launch of the council’s new mobile application; the application joins newly opened showers and a third-floor prayer room also launched this week.
Developed in collaboration with NCODX Ltd, the application features an interactive campus map and a stipends calendar as well as the services offered on the council’s website such as the online complaints system, parking permit applications and weather features. The application is currently available on the apple store, and shall also be launched for andorid devices from the 5th of April.
Following yesterday’s launch, the application found its way to the top of the local ‘Free Applications’ chart on the apple iStore.
The council has also announced that shower facilities are now available at students’ house as part of the University’s Green Travel Plan – the facilities follow the installation of bike racks earlier this year. Moreover, the council has also announced the opening of a ‘multi-faith’ prayer room on the building’s third floor.
Speaking at an international representatives’ meeting this week, KSU International Co-ordinator Albert Camilleri said that the room would serve as a spiritual area for students of any religion. Keys to both the prayer room and the shower facilities are available from the council’s office at no charge.
