Pulse Concerned Following Half-hour Exam Delay

In a statement released earlier today, social democrat students Pulse showed concern with the way one of this year’s MATSEC O-Level Mathematics exams was conducted.

Pulse spoke of a half hour delay before an examination session held at the San Ġorg Preca Boys Junior Lyceum in Hamrun. The statement claimed that the delay resulted in a chaotic situation which prompted police officers to aid in calming parents.

‘The examination started more than half an hour late, with students being told that there were not enough invigilators for the examination to commence. The situation ended up in a chaos with parents and police officers trying to calm down the situation.’ the statement read.

While acknowledging that students were later promised a compensatory time extension, Pulse emphasized that such fiascos occur yearly, stressing that the delay did not present favourable conditions for students to carry out their exams.
